About the author
"My Dearest Things"
My dearest things, they bring me cheer,
In the morning's hush, the forest I revere,
Midday, the garden's muddy frontier,
Afternoon's bike ride, far and near.
Spring's sun with love does grace,
Summer storms in their wild chase,
Autumn gifts mushrooms in the humid place,
Winter's calm by candlelight's embrace.
Book-lined shelves, a child's laughter's tune,
And journeys new, under the sun and moon,
These cherished joys, from morn to night,
In their embrace, my heart takes flight.
