The BookBaby Bookshop is a "print on demand" supported bookstore. That means when you place a book order we will quickly print the book and ship it to you. Printing on demand is a green and eco friendly way of supporting the bookstore because we don't produce wasted inventory that has to be stored in a resource consuming warehouse and ultimately disposed of if not sold. You can purchase the best eBooks (or printed books) from independent authors and publishers all over the world.

We provide authors that work with BookBaby a widget with which they can sell their eBooks. You probably arrived here through that very widget. Once you’ve added an eBook to your cart, you can check out — paying via PayPal or credit card. You can then download the eBook from your account, or, if you've logged in as a guest, we'll send you an email with a link to download that eBook.

Your eBook will be available as an ePub, mobi, or PDF file. You will be able to select your preferred format at the time you download the file. Some books are designed to be read by an Apple device only. Only the ePub file should be downloaded.

Most orders ship within 5 business days. Very occasionally there could be a delay if we are experiencing high volume demand for a hot title or if there is a machine issue. Please note that during the pandemic we will occasionally experience a delay due to illnesses.

Standard shipping is sent via UPS mail innovations with final delivery being made via USPS. Tracking information is provided when the order is ready to ship. You also have the option to choose other shipping modes by clicking on the Edit shipping button.

All international shipments ship D.D.U. (Delivery Duty Unpaid). Consignees are responsible for all applicable duties, taxes and import charges at time of delivery. Please consult your local customs office for an idea of how much these costs might be.

All sales are final. No cancellations, returns, refunds, or exchanges will be made after an order has been submitted.

Sideloading Kindle Fire with access to a computer (easiest):

  1. Using a mini USB to USB cord, connect the Kindle Fire to a computer.
  2. Download the e­book file on your computer.
  3. Using a file explorer program, open up the kindle (will show as a temporary drive). also open the folder on the computer with the file.
  4. Drag the e­book file from the computer to the Kindle Fire Books directory.
  5. Follow your computer’s procedure for disconnecting peripheral devices. The book will now be available in the Kindle Fire’s “Books” tab.

Sideloading using only the Kindle Fire:

  1. Download the e­book file to the Kindle Fire using either the browser or via email.
  2. Download and install a file explorer program, such as ES File Explorer from Amazon APP market (it’s free).
  3. Using the file explorer find the book file (it will be in the main Kindle directory) and copy it (press and hold the icon until the sub­menu pops up).
  4. Go to the “Books” folder.
  5. Paste the file (with ES Explorer you will need to select “Operations,” then hit paste).
  6. Power Kindle Fire off and back on.
  7. Book should be in the Books tab.

Log into your BookBaby account on your iPad and download the ePub. It should automatically open in the iBooks app.
