About The Author


Eric Butterworth was the minister of Unity Center of Practical Christianity in New York City for over 35 years. He conducted a program of public lectures, growth workshops, and retreats, and his radio broadcasts were heard in four states. Ordained in 1948, he played a vital role in the organization of the present Unity Worldwide Ministries. He served churches in Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and Detroit and was considered to be one of the leading spokespersons and thinkers in both the Unity and New Thought movements. He was a frequent contributor to Unity Magazine. Besides his many popular Unity multimedia programs, he published numerous books with Unity Books including In the Flow of Life, Unity: A Quest for Truth, Celebrate Yourself!, The Concentric Perspective and MetaMorality: A Metaphysical Approach to the Ten Commandments. Mr. Butterworth was born in Canada and raised in California. Since his mother was a Unity minister, he was raised with Unity beliefs. He said “It seems natural to devote my life to the work of helping other people find the influence of Truth in their lives as I have known it in mine.” Eric Butterworth made his transition on April 17, 2003.
