Overview

The Bible's most misunderstood book is really about spiritual discovery.

Description

Author and minister Ed Townley has long engaged readers with insightful Scripture interpretations. A Bible enthusiast, he focuses on the metaphysical meanings, rather than the literal text with its varied translations. In Kingdom Come, Townley tackles his toughest task--the Book of Revelation. In 22 easy-to-follow steps, he approaches the Revelation not as an apocalyptic end-of-the-world prophecy, but as a personal, practical guide to spiritual growth. By looking beyond the Revelation's gloomy shadows, he reveals a positive message of creative possibility. The Kingdom, Townley explains, doesn't await us in the afterlife. It's ours to experience today, as we learn to find the good within even the darkest challenges.

About the author

Ed Townley has been a licensed and ordained Unity minister for more than 20 years, after an earlier career as an actor, director and playwright. He has served congregations in Beaverton, Oregon; Chicago, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; and Hartford, Connecticut. Rev. Ed, as he is often called, is the author of Meditations on the Mount, a metaphysical appreciation of the Sermon on the Mount that was later released in paperback as The Secret According to Jesus. He is the hose of Bible Alive!, a weekly program of Bible discussion on Unity Online Radio, and responds to requests for Bible interpretation directed to Unity's website, www.unity.org. Rev. Ed lives in Manchester, Connecticut, with his partner in ministry, a Welsh corgi named Bentley.
