About the author
Don Potter is a 50-year advertising veteran. He ran a marketing consulting firm and held top-level positions with major advertising agencies.
As an advertising executive, Potter was responsible for a number of award-winning campaigns. He has worked with companies such as General Foods, Clorox, H.J. Heinz, Lever Bros., Sunkist, Pepperidge Farm, and Toyota.
In 1984, Potter founded what became one of LA's leading independent ad agencies. He served as president and CEO for 20 years. Potter has been recognized for his leadership in helping marketers utilize the DRTV model.
He writes extensively about marketing and advertising issues, has been a frequent speaker at business conventions and seminars as well as an instructor at leading universities.
Potter is the author of an acclaimed marketing book, The 50+ Boomer: Your Key to 76 Million Consumers. He has also written two novels using Madison Avenue as the backdrop: The Adman and Murder on Madison Avenue.
