Description
This book contains about 100 poems written in 1977 and 1978 when the author was 23 and 24. He was going through divorce proceedings and sought answers from God about life's meaning. The writings generally honor God, but some poems question God or show anger towards Him. Topics include Faith, Love, Death, Why God Allows Suffering, Joy, Sin, Good and Evil, Afterlife and Eternity, and, of course, Hope. In the end, the "Weight of Hope" tips the scale toward having Faith in God.
About the author
Captain Timothy James Howington, U.S. Navy (retired) was born September 1954 in Bastrop, Louisiana. He gave his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 16. He's married to the former Kathy Waldrop Burnham and is the father of two boys, Michael Andrew and John James.
