Captain Timothy James Howington, U.S. Navy (Retired), has been writing poetry since 1977. His poems are short and succinct (usually 8-12 lines), and make a key spiritual point or theological observation in very few words. This book is his 7th volume of "Poems to God." To date, he has penned more than 3,300 poems and published more a thousand of them. "Capt Tim" was born in 1954 and served 28 years in the Navy. He had the privilege of being selected five times as a Commanding Officer. During his career, he was awarded more than 40 personal and unit decorations, including 5 Legions of Merit. He also earned B.A., M.A., and M.S. degrees. He's married to the former Kathy Lynn Waldrop Burnham and is the proud father of two boys, Michael Andrew and John "Jay" James.
