About the author
Captain Timothy James Howington, U.S. Navy (Retired), was born 1954 in Bastrop, Louisiana. In his 28 year Navy career, he earned more than 40 personal and unit decorations. He holds three degrees, B.A., M.A., and M.S. He is married to the former Kathy Waldrop Burnham and is the proud father of Michael Andrew Howington and John James "Jay" Howington.
