Description
Join Ellie and her friends on their latest adventure! Having already achieved the incredible feat of recycling 1 million cans, they're not done yet. Now, they're on a mission to tackle the problem of metal items needlessly being thrown away. Determined to make a difference, they gather wires, Christmas lights, pots and pans, unicorn shoes, and other metal items from their community. Then, they head to the local scrapyard to turn these treasures into valuable resources through recycling. With the help of their friends Mr. Ferrous Magglio and Gallium the Unicorn, they set off on an exciting journey to the scrapyard, where they learn about the different types of metals and the importance of recycling. We believe your kids will not only love this story but also be inspired to join in neighborhood clean-up efforts and even earn some extra cash for their piggy bank. Happy reading and recycling!
About the author
Hi I'm Shaziya M. Jaffer, I'm an Elementary teacher working in the Burnaby School District. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and watch my daughter play ice hockey. I'm so excited to be a part of Scrap U Kids so I can help educate children about the importance of recycling and taking care of the Earth. I'm learning at the same time and hoping to share my knowledge with others so we can work together to keep our earth clean and healthy for all.
