To introduce myself, I want to share a brief bio about my life and why I write. My favorite stories are wrapped around a mystery of any sort. Writing was only a hobby with me until I joined a small writing group. My two writing buddies have been a great help with their encouragement and support through this process. I find writing fun, and it increases my creative juices each time I sit down at my keyboard. Suddenly, a thought will occur from nowhere and it turns the story into a new and exciting direction.
I like writing about Wyoming. To my mind it is a perfect place to set a story. I left the state after living there for a number of years, but, the romance of WY never left me. I grew up in the Rocky Mtn West. I loved going to the old ranches as a child, to explore the abandoned buildings and pretend I had a horse to put in the falling down corrals. Sometimes, bonus, I would find a tattered old saddle or harness rigging then my imagination was off and running.
I had the pleasure and privilege of ownership in a dude ranch in Sunlight Basin, in the Absaorka(Ab-sar-oka) Mtn Range of WY. Our ranch was located near the Northeast gate of Yellowstone Park. What a wonderful way to introduce our guests to this beautiful part of the country. This experience influenced my choice of setting for my first published mystery, A Willful Destruction of Amanda; https://store.bookbaby.com/profile/a-willful-destruction-of-amanda.
