This is a work designed for those seeking peace, harmony and joy in their lives., In Poems for a Peaceful Soul, we will see how the art of poetry illuminates nature, ordinary life, love. We will also see up close the manifestation of dreams, both realized and broken; the ugly face of war and suffering; and the timeless rapture of nature and God's presence in all of these dynamics. My aim is for the reader to develop a finer appreciation of art in general, poetry in particular, and come to a deeper awareness of the true meaning of life.

About The Author

James Patrick Geocaris is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago with majors in Biology and History. He completed his law degree in Chicago, and his Master's degree and teacher certification at the University of Oregon in 2013. James has spent years practicing law, doing volunteer-travel and donating to and being active with various charities. He has personally helped over 1000 Ukrainians settle in Europe due to the Ukraine War and served the Ukrainian government and military in several ways. He is currently a member of the Oregon National Guard with the rank of Lt. Col. James enjoys reading, writing, time with God in nature, travel, mentoring, growing his own food -and cats. He will be moving to Europe in 2026 to embark upon his Ph.d studies in addition to teaching at an International School.
