Overview

Orchid Whitestone’s searchlight is ever on the humorous lookout for how the universe is flowing.  In her serious work, this fictional astrologer says “The language of astrology can sort the multiple levels of global chaos.”

Orchid Said It at the Time contains Orchid’s assessments of how astrology influenced the recent past as it leads into the current and future.  Astrologers are prognosticators.  They report on effects of the blended pulses, called aspects, of planets, distant and close, flowing through energies in birth charts.

Orchid Said It at the Time contains mainly 2-3 page chapters for an easy bedside read where one learns how astrologers forecast the big picture for nations, leaders, events and conditions as well as individuals.  Orchid adds a chuckle or two.  No demand on the reader to really learn astrology in depth.  Read the chapter titles for a feel of Orchid on mundane astrology "...Potty Mouth...Scream the Headlines," "Does the Pet in Your Home Have a House?," and Venus Retrograde in the Scorpio Theater."  Perfect  read for travel by train, boat or plane or keeping by the bedside.

The most powerful of the recognized planets are traveling close to each other through the zodiacal signs representing public business, the masses, and the collective unconscious.  Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces - they affect us all.  Mundane astrology is filled with warnings for nations, businesses, and public figures.

Humorous characters in Orchid Said It at the Time learn about planets intent on bringing peril or potential.  How people meet the vibes is key. Orchid reminds us how certain planets evoke certain feelings so that we never forget these auspices times.

Politics and cultures are transforming to a lighter, higher vibration.  What had been important is just expiring - we are near the end of the transition now.  Generations of the past have passed from us in the twinkle of an eye.  Our job now is to discern how we can live as ambitions change.  Orchid, herself, is a traveler aware there’s no returning.

Description

Fictional astrologer Orchid Whitestone, delicate and touchy, author explains with humor how planetary aspects affect the birth charts of nations, leaders and events, called mundane astrology. She brings the ancient focus on the idea that what happens to Kings and Queens happens to their subjects, into modern times with the actual birth chart of nations and events, and high profile figures.

"Orchid Said It at the Time" presents snippet-size chapters of usually 2-3 pages for an easy bedside read. Discover how mundane astrologers interpret the big picture. Orchid adds a chuckle here and there. Read chapters titled "...Potty Mouth...Scream the Headlines," "Does the Pet in Your Home Have a House?," and Venus Retrograde in the Scorpio Theater."

Orchid's fictional rustic cousin Orris Root, CEO of the fragrances and mouth products Root family business, visits, shares tea and discusses conditions in the world. Orchid is also visited by her cousins Burdock and Valerian Root, the latter, a recluse. Another cousin Seaflower Whitestone shows up at times.

Orchid invested in Orris' start up company, Brushing-Through-the-Stars Ltd. Another relative, the Dutch Venus Von de Fly-Paper, of the fragrant stationery company, had always questioned Orchid's commitment to paper, or anything else, once Orchid announced she was dedicating herself to the mundane. Orchid occasionally receives visits from her Old Dutch aunt, Twerpy Von Twerple, a new world traveler, and other clients.

"Learning is what most adults will do for a living in the 21st century" said S.J. Perelman, US Humorist, Playwright, Cartoonist.

A nation's acknowledged time and date of birth are the basis of its birth chart, which reveals events to come relative to planetary aspects interpreted against its birth chart. When a catastrophe or cataclysm occurs, or is about to, relative to a nation, its time and date for the occurrence is set as a mundane chart; astrologers will compare that to its actual birth chart, and interpret the dynamic transiting effects called aspects or pressure, and project their period of influence. They may have plotted same prior to  the aspect to prepare for its potentials - advise others.

The original purpose of charting astrological events was for kings and queens, that being a mundane report. As the nation went, so went its people. Later, as individuals developed wealth, they could afford to order their own astrological birth charts.

Orchid, being a thinker, produces some short serious essays, especially as she delves into intense purging by Pluto, representing the subconscious workings of nations as well as people, on purging failing aspects in national and world affairs.  Pluto works slowly as it is the slowest moving planet and Orchid explains that in Potty Mouth....

She also assesses the pressures of intense transits by Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, the latter two, with Pluto, called generational planets as to their pace through a sign, affecting in some similar ways all born during long stretches of time.  Plus she writes of the smaller, but no less effective planetoids, Ceres, Lilith, Chiron and others aspecting particularly beginning 2017 to Covid. So the world was set for its current situation by the influence of the heavens through people. Through Orchid, one learns how to recognize and remember how the pressures from individual planets are interpreted through feelings.

Powerful planetary transits are spreading across the winter, spring and summer zodiac signs now, and are not as compacted, or focused on a single direction, as they have been in the past few years. Still they continue receiving intense aspects projected from the planetary heavens from 90 degrees (Square) and 180 degrees (Opposition) pressures.

It has been said that "If one knows what is happening above them, they may better be able to prepare themselves for what will happen to them..." if they want to!
