Overview

Invention Man is a story about Rodney Danville, a young urban youth in anywhere USA. Growing up very shy, being black no one thought his shyness was caused by his intellect. His intelligence was close to genius and during a school science project, an executive from Bio Tech, saw a future in his imagination. He spoke with Rodney and talked him into joining a 'future scientists' program his company was sponsoring. These people had a drug they wanted experimented on and past test showed the drug to be too addictive to use, but with the proper research, some executives at Bio Tech felt it would be worth billions of dollars. So, they groomed Rodney through school and before he graduated from college, they hired him to work for them. It was there they put him to research a drug called Xadil, with horrendous results.

Description

Part 2 picks up after Rodney had murdered several people and had been captured. Through the trial, it was discovered that he and another associate were pawns in a scheme to corner the pharmaceutical market with a cure for several ailments, by Bio Tech. Ultimately, he was found innocent. Luckily for him, during his trial a female attorney fell hard for him and during the long course of the trial, he fell for her. Through their relationship, they were able to live a comfortable and happy life, that is until he found out that dangerous drug had somehow bonded with and mutated one of his genes and he found out he passed it on to his daughter and the story continues . . .

John Dickson has a vivid imagination, which he brings to life in Invention Man, 2. John aka RoseBudd, grew up in a large family of 12 siblings, all by the same to lovely parents, Clinton and Lena Dickson, Sr. Being raised is such a large family, most times they were all they needed for fun. Everyone of them emerged from that nest, fruitful and dynamic men and women. John is very proud to say he is a Dickson. His skills in writing developed from his imagination and the fear of not doing well in school, specifically math and English. His father was very serious about those subjects and John excelled in both. But, the streets call him and he had to answer. After a life, most dream of, RoseBudd retired from the Game and began his education in earnest. He graduated with honors, with a BA from Ashford University, and also earned a 4.0 in his Masters Program. Now, qualified with a Teaching and Learning With Technology, MA, he's stepping out in a different environment, where only you can say how well he's doing. The struggle continues . . .
