About the author
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. I arrived in the United Sates in 1973, graduated with a Masters Degree in biological sciences from Central Connecticut State University, and have been living in Connecticut ever since. I have spent the last 30 years working in the field of Environmental Education for the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection. I have designed and coordinate five major statewide environmental education programs, mostly to provide technical education to high school students and adults. I believe that the best way to influence students and reach their hearts is by providing them with an opportunity to do research and monitor the environment. In doing so and during all these years I have provided students with this opportunity. Now I have retired from the Department of Environmental Protection and started a new organization, The North East Naturalist, to prove people with information and opportunities in environmental research, monitoring and inventorying.
