Overview
The holiday season and all are pumpws up for a merry, jingle bell cruise, including our cruise adventurers, Lucky and Led. Both Christmas and Hanukkah are celebrated together this year on the ship, so Father Lucky meets his colleague, Rabbi Susan and her family. Fortunately for Led, the Rabbi's family includes a beautiful twenty-one year old daughter, Beth. All seems cheery and fun until the Rabbi's family and Led come up missing out to sea from their day on the beach; the Cruise Director gets mauled by a disconcerted staff member and there's no Santa Claus to deliver the holiday gifts, which just happen to get pushed into the sea. What a mess! Not at all in the Christmas spirit. Read how this all works out in the exciting Lucky & Led adventure, CRUISE TO YULETIDE.
Description
The holiday season and all are pumped up for a merry, jingle bell cruise in the Caribbean, including our cruise adventurers, Lucky and Led. Both Christmas and Hanukkah are celebrated together this year on the ship, so Father Lucky meets his colleague, Rabbi Susan and her family from Philadelphia. Fortunately for Led, the Rabbi's family includes a beautiful twenty-one year old daughter, Beth who pair up immediately for a bit of fun and romance. The cruise staff are having a challenge with working together as a team; a bit of jealousy and too many alpha males vying for the leadership role. Things go hunky dory until the Rabbi's family and Led come up missing from their sun and fun day at the beach; the Cruise Director gets caught with his pants down, literally, with a supposedly X girlfriend, by another of his X girlfriends; Santa Claus is stuffed in a closet; the holiday presents are sent overboard into the sea and Led's estranged family, surprise, surprise, unbeknown to him, is on the same cruise. What a glorious holiday adventure filled with the usual crazy stuff that always seems to be in port or at sea with Lucky and Led.
About the author
David P. Remy was born in Iowa a few months before the Pearl Harbor "incident" as those affairs are referred to in today's parlance. He attempted to become educated in Dubuque, IA, Detroit, MI, Washington, D.C., South Orange, NJ and New Orleans, LA. It took a long time, in many halls of higher learning. Finally, a little of it stuck. He felt most success with his in depth study of Mardi Gras and restaurants in the Crescent City...the Big Easy. Up to this time of writing, he's been a pastor, an educator, a drug and alcohol counselor and tucked in the middle of forty-five years of ministry, he served twenty short ones in the U.S. Navy as a chaplain to our courageous Sailors and a "Padre" to our valiant Marines. He proudly adds, "Veteran", to his bio. Late in his life game, he appends, "Author", to his resume. He will allow the reader to determine the validity of that claim. Retired, he maintains his residence in the Florida Panhandle where thousands live and millions wish they could. He continues with his ministry in parish churches, military chapels and...his favorite...as a cruise ship Chaplain. He is the author of a full length fiction novel, IN LOVING PURSUIT, a love story set in the late 1960"s, told in the memoir genre. Besides this present novel, CRUISE TO YULETIDE, he has authored three others in the LUCKY & LED CRUISE SHIP MYSTERY SERIES: CRUISE TO MAYHEM, CRUISE TO HELL AND CRUISE TO PANDORA.
