Overview
A bedtime story for kids with cute crochet patterns for the adults that love them.
Description
A bedtime story that reminds children how much they're loved and reminds parents of all that's special about having their children in their lives. Featuring artwork made of yarn and felt with ten cute crochet toys that crafty or adventurous adults are invited to stitch up themselves. Complete crochet patterns, crochet basics, and stitch tutorials are provided in the back of the book. Imagine how special to be a child, cuddled up with a story of love, holding your favorite little toy from one of your bedtime books, made all the more special as it was created just for you by your caregiver.
About the author
Cassandra Rendon first learned to crochet when she was 8, initially copying the chevron stitch blankets she saw her mother and grandmother whip up. In 2009 she saw her first amigurumi pattern online and it was all downhill from there! In 2017, after 10 years of shuttling through a series of stressful, unsatisfying jobs (and with the unflinching support of her husband), she opted to take on this project of the heart, an attempt to try and make something of all her creative passions: her Creative Writing degree from the University of California, Riverside, her more than 20 years of experience with crochet, and her extremely amateur love of photography. These days Cassandra lives in sun-soaked Lake Forest, California with her wonderfully patient and supportive husband, Carlos, and their problem-child of a calico cat, Fiona.
