Author Info

Robert is an award-winning speaker and storyteller, who has also written a successful movie script which is currently placed with a major studio for production.  Beginning in Vietnam where he flew over 300 combat missions, he has continuously operated as a commercial pilot for almost fifty years.  His book relates his adventures in different categories of flight including his time as an Arctic pilot, an EMS helicopter pilot, a major airline pilot, Vietnam as a Cobra gunship pilot, and numerous other missions demonstrating his ability to reinvent himself.

In the course of his long career in the air Robert helped raise five children who moved with him in a number of double digit moves while he repositioned himself for the next "ideal" flying job. At one point they headed three hundred miles north of the Arctic Circle with all their belongings stowed beneath them in the belly of a Boeing 737.

Stories of flying a two-place Cessna 120 loaded with Robert and his four children heading for a small grass strip near the beach to the chilling details of trying to stay in the air with four feet of the rotor blade missing, and a cartwheel in a large cropdusting aircraft help fill the pages of his new book.

Tales of grit and "cross your fingers" for a good outcome kind of moments are rich in detail.  Ten chapters of stories you will never forget.  An avid reader and model builder, Robert and his wife, Debra, live in southwest Florida, where he can often be found cruising his sailboat in and around the 10,000 Islands on the west coast in an ongoing quest for adventure.
