Hi I’m Jessica.  Some things about me are I’m a retired veteran and mother to a miracle baby with special needs. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.A in business.  I enjoy spending time with God family and friends.  My purpose behind writing this book has to do with not only my healing but hopefully healing for others. As a sexual abuse survivor, I realize more than ever before on the difference it would have made if I had been educated consistently and properly on how to protect my agency.  I am on a mission to impact as many people as possible to inspire them to have all the “uncomfortable conversations” that need to be had with children.  I dedicate this book to my daughter because I myself need the tools to help guide her on how to be mindful of the signs and situations that make her uncomfortable and what is acceptable vs unacceptable behavior.   I’m originally from Connecticut but now a Maryland native.  I am also a first-generation Haitian from Immigrant parents.  I hope to reach all demographics especially my own since these conversations are not normally had in immigrant households.
