LaCherie Armour is a licensed minister, author, mentor, professional storyteller, research scholar, writer, editor, and voice-over artist. LaCherie’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience and the quest for self-discovery and true healing.
Historical Background
LaCherie is originally from Buffalo, New York, grew up in Compton, California, and currently resides in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Early Life and Personal Challenges
Growing up in Compton, California, the 90's felt like gang violence, teen pregnancy, and high school dropouts were the norm. Nevertheless, LaCherie made a conscious decision to defy the odds and not become another statistic. While she may have beat those norms, she still found herself trapped around the cycles of a promiscuous lifestyle.
For two decades, LaCherie wrestled with the dark forces of emotional turmoil that stemmed from her past. She began to journal her experiences. Soon after her journals turned into a book, entitled, *Emotionally Unstable: Growing up without my Daddy.*
In this book, she explores her inner struggles of growing up in an environment full of the traumatic complexities of her parents’ unpredictable violent behaviors that made home feel unsafe. Fast-forward to adulthood, LaCherie and her Wrong Luv relationship somehow found themselves replaying the roles of her early childhood that made her realize her fear of emotional trust meant he was merely a Band-Aid for her deeper wounds. Through confronting her fears and addressing the scars left by her childhood, LaCherie embarked on a transformative journey of healing.
This journey not only allowed her to reconcile with her past but also empowered her to reshape her perspective on the future, serving as a narrative that encourages others to confront their challenges and pursue their own paths to healing.
Faith-Based Leadership and Mentorship
It was LaCherie's faith in God that enabled her to break free from continuing the old familiar patterns of childhood and embark upon a new path of personal growth and spiritual development. As a minister and mentor, LaCherie Armour is inspiring a new generation of faith seekers who are ready to confront their past, heal their present, and transform their future.
