It was a time when it was illegal to buy beer or wine on Sunday, a time when there were no PG- or R-rated movies, and a time when citizens trusted God more and government less. This book will bring back a lot of fond memories for those who grew up during the times when our homes had porches.

Our dad is the best dad a kid could ask for. On his last birthday we selected a Hallmark Birthday Card which best describes how we feel about him. The following, are the words from that card: “We’re talking strong. Tough. Sure of himself, but willing to talk and listen and to see the other side. We’re talking cheerful. Optimistic! Looking to laugh, even at himself. We’re talking smart. Loaded with common sense. We’re talking generous, to a fault and beyond. A very gentle and loyal man. Totally loyal. There, he’s always there. We’re talking about our dad. Dad, we can never thank you enough, praise you enough, or love you enough for being the kind of man and the kind of dad you are!” We love you Dad, Conner and Sean
