Mr. Burns received a Bachelor of Architecture, a 5-year professional degree, from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and a Master of Science in Interior Design from UNCG in Greensboro. He has over 39 years' experience in higher education at Forsyth Technical Community College and has also served as an adjunct faculty at UNCG and Salem College in the Interior Design Departments. In his profession he has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching, leadership in education, and technology. As an educator, he has created and taught. over a dozen new courses relating to architecture, animation, and digital design, and is recognized as an innovator in these fields. He is a licensed architect in the state of North Carolina. His knowledge and skills are also known internationally as a guest lecturer on digital design, architecture, sustainability and best business practices in Finland, Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine. Mr. Burns was also a Fulbright Scholar to Russia. He was a member of the first U.S. delegation to complete a certificate of training in Russian business, law, culture, and economics at the Gazprom College of Oil and Gas in Volgograd, Russia. Mr. Burns has many years of executive business experience. He is a founding collaborator to the Centre for Design Innovation, Piedmont Triad Design Consortium, Serious Gaming Group, founding collaborator of Design Leadershop, and past president of ABRO Winston-Salem. Mr. Burns has served as Interim Dean of Engineering at Forsyth Technical Community College, also as Department Chair for Design Technologies, which includes programs of study in Architecture, Interior Design, Radio and Television, and Digital Effects & Animation. He was Program Coordinator for the Digital Effects & Animation Program and served as Coordinator of International Partnerships for the College. Mr. Burns currently is President of HB Studios in the United States. HB Studios focuses on architecture and interior design, digital content, publishing, international, business, and educational consulting. He is also a host on the popular and international podcast series "Three Men for Thee" https://3-mft.fireside.fm/ Mr. Burns is an award-winning Christian author. His first three books have all won 5-star awards, and a video production award was produced for "Never Stop! Asking, Discovering and Sharing!"
