About the author
John Bracey has been writing and designing children’s educational resources and play environments for over 25 years. He lives with his wife of 34 years, Katherine, in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. .
Although The Tears of Ma is John’s first eBook, there are other adventures from New Legends of the Old World soon to be available. John's current web site www.seabrace.com which houses his Explorer quizzes - Who Am I? and short stories/learning resources entitled Journeys of Discovery; they cover 39 explorers on 52 adventures.
Plagued by being a lateral thinker, John's resources and writing reflect that ‘think outside the box’ progression and learning through kinesthetic applications. He likes to have fun and sees no reason why learning should be any other way. This is fundamental to his writing and designs.
John is the originator of children’s interactive playgrounds. These have been constructed onboard a major North American passenger ferry system, as well as shopping centers, retail stores and doctors offices. He has consulted for the British Columbia Ministry of Education for many years on educational policy and direction and has been contracted by the National Film Board of Canada to study and report on the effects of video games on the minds of our children.
John is diligently working on rewriting, for web download, the exciting learning resources he and his wife produced over the past several years that make up the Geotheater Learning System - an interactive kinesthetic group of teaching tools that address geography, history, the language arts, math and concepts in spatial comprehension for the classroom and the playground.
