Description
This is the story of following your dream no matter how crazy or impossible it seems. The author and her husband decide in their mid-thirties to give up their good jobs, leave their friends and family, sell everything, buy an RV (recreational vehicle) and live and work on the road full-time. The story tells of the transitory jobs they find, the places they travel and the random interactions between strangers that lead to impactful moments. The Seven Year Hitch is a terrific look into the world of full time RV living, as well as United States geography and history. It is also a wonderful lesson about staying true to your dream even during the tough times. The seven year journey takes the author and her husband through the western United States with imagery of the locales that the reader can easily develop a mental image based on the author's descriptions. The author does this not only with the physical beauty she encounters, but also the people she and her husband meet along their travels. Each character is so fully developed, as are the relationships that begin and develop.
