The Sentence, a family's prison memoir chronicles the years leading up to and through lawyer, Jerry Kraig's incarceration as a result of representing the Czar of Pornography. It includes the devastating consequences for the family as see through the eyes of wife, artist, Gene Kraig.

In the early 1960's, Jerry Kraig, an idealistic Cleveland lawyer, was retained by his boyhood mentor, Reuben Sturman, later known as the Czar of Pornography. Kraig was his First Amendment Co-ordinator. Little did Kraig know his representation would lead him into a nightmare legal battle resulting in Kraig's imprisonment to defraud the Federal Government of Sturman's taxes. The Kraig's were an average suburban family who had everything and lost it all.
