Martin Paix returns to the world on a mission of truth that exposes the fundamental corruption lying at the heart of even the greatest of the world's institutions. Shadowed by a novice intelligence officer whose strategy is to seduce him, Martin comes to understand that she, Sara Clay, is the true object of his return. They fall in love and live in blissful seclusion on the Island of Hawaii where their spiritual lovemaking teaches Sara the meaning of sacred union. The young spy reluctantly emerges to report to her bosses and finds that due to uprisings on the mainland it is no longer enough that she keep in close contact with Martin Paix; now she is ordered to eliminate him. 

The dramatic resolution of this conflict begins a classic story of fugitives on the run  that leads to a showdown not merely between men--and a woman--with guns, but one which pits the ethereal values embodied by Martin Paix against the world's penchant for resolving intractable issues with violence.

When asked for a brief biography Mr. Rocca provided the following: 

I was raised by parents for whom English was a second language. Education almost got the best of me until a yellow half-moon led me down a lonely arroyo to the sagging cabin where hearth-flames cast light on table, pen and yellowed manuscript. Here I remain content to toil, obscure, according to my mentor’s wish.
