A mysterious infection has turned the citizens of the earth into the walking dead and robbed Casey of her beloved little sister Sophie. Casey determines to enlist others of her kind to help find the magic needed to right the world again. With the help of JD, a handsome, zombie-killing thrill seeker, she will travel west to seek the help of an experienced Council wizard. But will they be able to wade through a city full of zombies, rescue survivors found along the way, and find the answers they need before a bite adds them to the zombie population?

An avid reader of paranormal stories, watcher of zombie movies, and a twisted romantic at heart, Cynthia Gilstrap is a freelance writer and day-dreamer who lives in Portland, Oregon. This is her first novel.
