About the author
As a psychotherapist, author, and public speaker, Haven Logan, Ph.D. explores the issue of how best to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Her unique focus is exploring why people so often fail at their weight goals. Her first book, Choosing to Be Well, answers this question. It was published by Inner Ocean Publishing in 2002. Her next book, The California Wine Country Diet, was published in 2006 by Quill Driver Books. It presents a comprehensive, pleasurable approach to weight loss and management. Dr. Logan holds degrees in sociology, education, social work, and health psychology. She also writes a newspaper and web column titled Healthy Living for Everyone which addresses a broad spectrum of life areas—from healthy eating to exercise to dealing with stress.
