Overview
An illustrated Christian book sure to captivate the imagination and heart of the reader. Appropriate for all ages, but especially written for children and youth. A simple and beautiful story that encourages faith while showing the folly of trying to live apart from the “Rock”.
Description
The Builder is an illustrated Christian children’s book, written in allegorical form. It presents the message of the importance of building our lives on the Rock, which is Christ. A young boy initially rejects building his home upon the Rock. After failing in attempts to build using sand, and then wood, he finally recognizes the wisdom and joy of embracing the Rock as the only sure foundation on which to build his life.
About the author
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rev. Anne Barber serves as the Pastor of My Father’s House Church in Ellenton, Florida, which she and her husband, Robert, founded in 2004. Anne came to the Lord in 1975, was ordained in 1990 by the Evangelical Church Alliance, and that same year entered the University of Miami School of Law. After graduating Cum Laude, she ministered part time, while pursuing a career in law. Although still a licensed Florida attorney, Anne finally accepted God’s full time call into ministry. Since 2003, that call has included leading bi-annual ministry trips to Camagüey, Cuba where she has preached in numerous churches. Anne is currently one of several monthly pastoral contributors to the “Faith and Values” column in the Bradenton Herald (Bradenton, FL) newspaper, and has had several feature articles published about her Cuba experiences. Also available by Rev. Anne Barber: "As Lambs to the Slaughter".
