Overview
How rampant is clergy immorality today? Is there a predator in the pulpit of your church? How would you know? And how would you heal if you have been one of the lambs led to moral slaughter by a pastor you trusted?
Description
Rev. Anne Barber takes an in-depth look at a difficult subject for Christians to talk about. Since the first Christian flocks were formed, the cause of Christ has been hurt by predatory shepherds. Much media attention is given to the fallen pastor when his sins are exposed, but what becomes of the sheep that he seduced and morally abused? Pastor Anne offers words of compassion, understanding and healing to help these sheep regain a sense of self value and trust in God. .
About the author
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rev. Anne Barber serves as the Pastor of My Father’s House Church in Ellenton, Florida, which she and her husband, Robert, founded in 2004. Anne came to the Lord in 1975, was ordained in 1990 by the Evangelical Church Alliance, and that same year entered the University of Miami School of Law. After graduating Cum Laude, she ministered part time, while pursing a career in law. Although still a licensed Florida attorney, Anne finally accepted God’s full time call into ministry. Since 2003, that call has also included leading bi-annual ministry trips to Camagüey, Cuba where she has preached in numerous churches. Anne is currently one of several monthly pastoral contributors to the “Faith and Values” column that appears weekly in the Bradenton Herald (Bradenton, FL) newspaper, and has had several feature articles published about her Cuba experience. In the 1980’s, she was the founder and editor of a small publishing company, Good Shepherd Publications (part of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in N. Miami, FL), which edited and published 17 books by 9 different authors. Anne is also the author of a children’s book, Visions of the Kingdom, which she expects to republish. She and her husband, Robert, live on a small farm in Parrish, Florida.
