Overview
THE BUCKTAIL BROTHERS SERIES combines the two print books, THE BUCKTAIL BROTHERS OF THE FIGHTING 149TH and THE BUCKTAIL BROTHERS: BRAVE MEN'S BLOOD, to relate the complete adventures of Henry and Willie Cole with the 149th Pennsylvania Volunteer Regiment in some of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War.
Description
THE BUCKTAIL BROTHERS SERIES combines the two paperbacks, THE BUCKTAIL BROTHERS OF THE FIGHTING 149TH and THE BUCKTAIL BROTHERS: BRAVE MEN'S BLOOD, into one great adventure that relates the entire history of the New Bucktail Regiment. Told through the eyes of farm boy recruits, Henry and Willie Cole, the novel details the training, marching, and fighting these youths experienced, along with their suffering and heroism. After losing 80% of their comrades on the first day's battle at Gettysburg near McPherson's barn, the Coles are plunged into grueling combat in the Wilderness and at Spotsylvania Court House, North Anna, Cold Harbor, and Petersburg. Add a tour of duty guarding the infamous Elmira Prison Camp, and they visit every circle of Civil War hell. Learn how their experiences mold the boys into men as they add to the legend of the famed Pennsylvania Bucktails.
