NEW YORK STATE STRANGE collects 91 creepy tales from every corner of the Empire State. Famous places like the Hinsdale House and Old Fort Niagara sit side-by-side with lesser-known scare zones like Hencoop Cemetery. Meet John Lennon's ghost and an Indian shaman who performs successful exorcisms. There are Native American witch tales, too, along with the Seneca monsters, High Hat and the Flying Head. Some oddities include the Thompson Park Vortex in Watertown and Spook Hill where cars roll backward uphill when parked in neutral.
