What a great story! The Backyard is a wonderful children's story about being grateful for what you have and not giving in to peer pressure. What makes this story so unique and clever is the way the story is told. The narrator is Gidget the cat and she has a story to tell and a lesson learned to share. Your children will definitely pay attention! What a great story! April Read more

Great for Parents and Teachers I picked this book up and began to read it. I was not able to put it down until I found out what happened to Gidget and the other cats. I found out it is OK to be who you naturally are. To be happy with what you have and the family around you, no matter who they are. I would recommend this book to teachers as well as parents. Great Read This book is a great read. As I was reading it it's like you can place yourself in the window talking to your friends or outside on a spring day. But also it translates to me to be thankful of what you have as well as who you are because everyone has their own identity. Read more
