Description
In this sequel to Still Waters, Rachel Glenn is reluctant to accept her assigned role as a young widow. She becomes so involved in the new daily affairs thrust upon her that she little time to become overcome with grief. Her late husband, Shane Grant, has left her a small empire to oversee that includes a home for unwed mothers and an advanced research facility. He has also left her a very snoopy step daughter with whom she strikes up a warm and lasting friendship.
A few months after her child is born, Rachel learns that she and her baby girl are the central figures of an international drama that threatens to permanently separate them. Help comes from several unexpected sources and she discovers that most of her late husband's friends are either affiliated with the FBI or are operatives of a secret American sponsored counter terrorism network. Along the way, she learns a great deal more about her late husband's secret past and begins to wonder if he is really dead or simply being hidden from her by the Agency. With help of her new step daughter and his Agency friends she follows lead after lead until most of her questions are answered.
