Description

Coming to terms with mortality is a challenge faced by all. I had to accept death and it was hugely problematic. I went back to my roots where I remembered my mother talking about faith, and I knew that I had to go through life with a new practical approach and rely on God to get me through this difficult time. I have to find a way to process this new found reality. I had to go through this, and go through this alone. Accepting that life is short. In order for me to accept this, I was going to have to talk about it. Losing my father was a subject I wanted to avoid discussing, it was in that subject matter where it became more real. When you lose someone to death, it almost seems unreal. Then reality sinks in. It began to affect me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
