About the author
Robert Huber is a founding member of the Minnesota “Business Continuity Planners Association” which began in 1985. He is also the creator of the widely used USG Methodology which is contained in this book. This process was successfully implemented by Mr. Huber into major companies and agencies such as Motorola, General Dynamics, General Mills, Digital Globe, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, and other fortune 100 companies.
Mr. Huber is a nationally recognized authority in emergency response and recovery and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, Computerworld, NBC, CBS, ABC, US Magazine, Bottomline, USA Today, PC Week, as well as textbooks.
Mr. Huber has over thirty years experience in risk assessment, emergency response, business continuity planning and training along with a lifetime career in emergency management. Mr. Huber is a highly decorated veteran police officer and investigator who earned several highly coveted distinguished police commendation awards while serving as a uniformed officer in district patrol. During his law enforcement career, he attended and graduated top in his class at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA where he later served as an instructor. He also completed ATF school, Secret Service Training, IRS Criminal Investigators School where he again served as an instructor. Additionally he served as body guard to the Vice President of the United States.
