About The Author


Samarth Nagarkar is a Hindustani Classical musician - a performing vocalist, educator and author - who portrays a unique balance of artistic vision, performing skill and an in-depth knowledge of the theoretical, pedagogical and historical aspects of Raga Sangeet (Indian Classical music). Trained by distinguished gurus Ulhas Kashalkar and Dinkar Kaikini, he represents the Gwalior Agra and Jaipiur gharanas and is a former scholar at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata. He has several solo and collaborative albums to his credit. He was among the first the scale digital platforms like Patreon in the Indian classical music world, pioneering new avenues of audience engagement, music education and monetization.
