He possesses a rare balance between performing skill and a deep knowledge of the theory, history and pedagogy of Indian music. Samarth trained under distinguished gurus, Ulhas Kashalkar and Dinkar Kaikini and is a former scholar of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata. Samarth is among the first to scale digital platforms like Patreon in the Indian Classical Music world, pioneering new avenues of audience engagement, music education and monetization. He has several solo and collaborative albums to his credit.
