Hello, my name is Chris Mason...the author of Mr. Tenkey's tips...

I've spent most of my working life explaining numbers to management and ownership, of a wide variety of companies. What I learned is...accounting is constant, people are the variable. So I wrote this book to explain the mortgage industry from a vantage point not often seen. From that of the back office, the pillars to the power... I hope my viewpoint, voice and humor help spark a stronger operation's voice, in an industry built on salesmanship.

Description

The author has put his decades of experience in the mortgage industry, into these easy-to-read tips. I'll let the readers see for themselves, but the best part of this book is that the author's suggestions are all very practical. The author has an easy, colloquial style; uses humor; and communicates his points well. Each tip will bring sound advice to the reader, from an often unexpected direction. The author's depth and breadth of experience is evident throughout. This book will challenge the way you think about the mortgage industry. And by the time you finish it, you just might have found the keys to surviving and thriving in it.

About the author

I have handled a wide variety of experiences in my various advancing roles throughout the years. Those experiences have provided me a rich background to pull upon. And although I never stop learning… that background has allowed me now be the teacher and no longer the student.

That was an interesting transition, it just triggered one day, through one of those oh-ha moments... And since that moment, those many years ago… I now seek out opportunities that allow me to be a part of a company’s growth. Be that: more volume, simplification through better efficiencies and processes, market positioning, more trained personnel, brand improvement, mergers, acquisitions, etc.

If there’s a mark to be left, I want to be known as one of the key players that helped a company get from point (A) to point (B), and we all came out of it alive and happier because of the adventure.
