Mayhem

Overview

Mayhem is the sixth book in the Ravens Nest series and kicks off in Vienna, Austria, at the Lithuanian embassy.

Linguistic expert and Interpol Agent Clara Meadows attends a high-society diplomatic event at the embassy in order to stage a rescue of the defiant and rebellious Crown Princess Sabrina of Luxembourg. The reckless woman had shocked her family and security team by hooking up with her latest toy boy on this foreign soil and severing any outside contact. Desperate and fearing for the worst, her family hires a private security firm, SPNI, to infiltrate and forcefully extract the feisty royal dubbed Princess Mayhem.

A year later, the SPNI team members are hired by Willis & Atkins Construction to provide security during the opening of the self-sustaining Ravens Nest Eco Resort where a three-day symposium on environmental sustainability is being held. Having secured Princess Sabrina, an avid environmentalist, as a guest speaker and patron at the event draws in publicity and many foreign dignitaries.

Meadows is assigned to Sabrina for the event. Having previously met the wildly flirtatious princess during a diplomatic fiasco of international proportions in Vienna, Meadows is not holding her breath that things will go smoothly. Soon, the Interpol agent finds herself in the crosshairs and has to join forces with her friends, Emma Finch and Rohan Rook, and playboy SPNI Agent Gareth Steed to protect the successor of a foreign sovereign state from those intent on harming her.

When Meadows along with the royal security team fall ill, Sabrina fears that she is the target of a coup. She is forced to put her trust in the men that indignantly plucked her from the Lithuanian embassy. This reunites her with a childhood acquaintance, Daniel Wolff, who hid his aristocratic title and lineage from his teammates.

Sabrina soon learns that her angst is not mere paranoia and that a serial killer had been tasked with terminating her.

Daniel Wolff has worked hard to establish himself as a freelance security consultant and team player at SPNI, far removed from his family’s connections and influence. As a ruthless international assassin takes aim, Wolff has to throw caution to the wind and flee with Sabrina to the one place no one will look for her—his family’s remote manor in Northern Ireland—risking exposing parts of his life he had worked hard to keep secret.

SPNI agent Gareth Steed, aka the master of seduction, is trying to change his wild ways. His path again crosses that of the fiery Interpol agent with whom he had collaborated with months earlier.

Ravens Nest veterinarian Jack Foster is pulled into the drama when he is tasked with pretending to be a priest in order to extract a supposed deathbed confession from a suspect, and then travels with Sophia Parker to break out a key witness from a psychiatric facility in Switzerland. Following the conspiracy breadcrumbs, Sophia and Cameron Parker globetrot to the Slovenian countryside to enter the murderer’s lair and collect evidence.

Emma Finch and Rohan Rook provide critical support as the princess flees to Wolff’s ancestral home in Northern Ireland where they brace themselves for a final showdown.

Description

The most dreaded of assignments for Interpol Agent Clara Meadows involve pandering to the whims of royalty. Attending pretentious soirees and private functions is the bane of her life, and on occasion, known to go horribly wrong. When a hot-blooded and recklessly flirtatious aristocrat holes up in a foreign embassy, she jeopardizes peace and actively resists a high-stakes extraction. A year after the Vienna fiasco, Meadows again finds herself assigned to the beck and call of the same petulant crown princess, but this time in an eastern seaboard rural town.

As a passionate environmentalist, Princess Sabrina of Luxembourg is a patron of and speaker at a three-day symposium on environmental sustainability, held at the exclusive Ravens Nest Eco Resort. Her suspicions are raised when her whole security team—and translator—suddenly falls ill, compelling her to seek the services of a private security firm, despite her grave misgivings. With her whereabouts concealed and her father also at risk of mortal danger, the princess finds herself thrown into trusting a team of strangers.

Freelance security consultants Gareth Steed and Daniel Wolff are pulled into the thick of chaos, as the women they are assigned to protect are targeted. For both of them, this mission is personal. While their resolve is put to extreme tests, they find their way, with Princess Sabrina, to survive.

Forced to flee from a ruthless international assassin, Agents Emma Finch and Rohan Rook join the group to provide support, as they escape to the furthest corners of Northern Ireland to Wolff's ancestral home. This unforeseen necessity exposes Daniel's hidden aristocratic title, his complex family dynamics, and how his past had intersected with the princess.

Mayhem is the 6th book in the Ravens Nest series. This time, the team races against the clock to identify the culprits behind the brazen attacks on their protectees. They get more than they bargained for when defending the successor to the throne of a foreign sovereign state.
