About the author
I live in Irving, Texas with my beautiful 8 year old daughter. Writing is something I've always been passionate about, but I've only recently decided to publish my work. In the past year (2013), I released 2 books (Black Rain and The Bartender Always Dies Last)under the name Joshua Caine with the help of a California publisher. After releasing my first two titles under Damnation Books, I decided to test the self-publishing waters, so-to-speak. Thankfully, Amazon has made my first steps into the big world of publishing easy. If you've read any of my books, you probably noticed one thing right away. I have a strange imagination. There. I said it. You have my mother, the life-long Trekkie, to thank for that (I love you, mom!). I grew up on a steady diet of Twilight Zone, Kool-Aid, Night Stalker, and General Hospital (not necessarily in that order). Suffice it to say, my books tend to incorporate two or more elements of the genres I'm most passionate about. I enjoy blurring the boundaries in writing. Coloring inside the lines has never been my strong suit. Some of my friends--after reading my books--have admitted, scratching their heads in baffled amazement, "I've never read anything like this before. Wow! What planet are you from?" This kind of off-handed praise makes me the most proud. I imagine Picasso heard the same thing from a friend or two after showing off his work. No. I am not comparing my work to the great painter's work. I am simply saying that Picasso painted the kind of pictures he wanted to see, and conversely, I write the kind of books I want to read. In doing so, I hope, even in the smallest way, that others enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them. To date, my catalog is as follows: Joshua Caine: Black Rain The Bartender Always Dies Last Christian Giovanni: My Darling Nikki Book 1 My Darling Nikki Book 2 Issue 1 Last Week The Witch's Hour Episode One: Suicide Pact From the Kitchen to the Grave Corso Diaries I'm looking forward to launching a new story later this fall. Please feel free to send your comments via my website. I would love to hear from you! www.christian-giovanni.com Like one of my books?
