Kelly Day holds a Ph.D. in Business, Organization and Management, and focused her dissertation on resettlement efforts of African refugees in the Northwest. Through the dissertation process, she mentored and advocated for resettled African refugees who many could not speak English or fend for themselves upon arrival into the U.S. Although it was challenging to understand their language, she grew to have deep respect, compassion, and love for the people who exuded the deepest faith and love for God, even after all of the trauma they had endured and years of journey to escape from their home to a far away land. Through this experience of meeting these families and their precious children, she shares this story with its readers as a reminder to always "Love One Another."
