The book is easy to read as the rhyming lyrics allow listeners to smile.
About the author
Lori Marie Huertas served as the Director of Program Impact where she supports Community Resources , Family Support Services, Education and Social Enterprise programs as a way to give back to the GES community that endured recent gentrification with a community garden where members can grow healthy foods to sell at a weekly Farmers Market and keep the proceeds for the economic inclusion of their families. Focus Points supports immigrants and refugees as they learn how to open up their own culturally diverse restaurant, catering business or food truck through our social enterprise program at Comal located in the Rino District. As a first generation daughter of an amazing dad who never went to college as he worked to take care of his family as one of 10 children, his words "puedes lograr lo que sea" echo in my mind and bring joy to my heart as I blow him and mom kisses in the wind knowing they are in heaven looking down and smiling as they see me continue their legacy of impact through love. She is also a professor at MSU Denver and the University of Denver that knows about sacrifice, loyalty and determination as an Army Mom, Doctoral student and bilingual Children's book author that was chosen as a reader for Max Rhymes bilingual books to children on a YouTube channel called StoryTime with Abuela. Before her parents passed her video was shared with teachers and military kids all around the world. Born in NY and raised in Puerto Rican she is now a proud now Denver based Hispanic Latina that wrote and published a children's book about her dad called "Papas Scooter a legacy of love ".
