Nafisah Abdul-Rahim has been a teacher for 15 years. She draws her inspiration from her family and her experiences. Abdul-Rahim is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, where she lives with her husband and five children. She enjoys reading children's books, and wanted to contribute to the literary world allowing young brown and black readers to see themselves in print.
