His CEO, Tom, has given him a 60 day deadline to turn things around. What Tom has not given him is CLARITY on where the organization is going, what they are trying to achieve and what results they are looking to produce. As Bill takes on the challenge he quickly discovers the lack of CLARITY across all parts of the organization. Tom and the Leadership team meet periodically but nothing ever happens. Lots of talk and ideas but no action is ever taken. There are managers and departments but no communication or accountability. Everyone seems to keep to their area. The company has become very siloed with almost no team work or knowledge sharing. If he is going to save his job and turn things around he is going to need to quickly begin to understand the problems and make adjustments. Bill will need to get out and talk to the employees out on the front lines and identify problems and bottlenecks and get suggestions, solutions and improvements that could be made to improve our production and profitability.
