About the author

Joy Strouse grew up in the Baltimore area and now lives in the great north woods of Baltimore County. She is Mom, Grandjoy, artist and teacher, and is involved in local theatre. Several of her short stories and poetry have been featured in small publications. This, her first novel, has been swimming around her brain for many years. It took a pandemic to give her time and quiet enough to pour the words onto the page. Currently, Joy is working on novels number two and three. One is titled Rewind a 'what if' story that begins in 2020, the year of Covid-19. The other is a prequel to Beyond the Broken Window, that delves into the lives of Beth, Floyd and the Madsen family. For more information and several sidequel short stories, including a look at Craig and Tamyra's tumultuous love affair, follow her: on Facebook @joystrouseauthor or Instagram @joystrousewriter
