Joy Strouse grew up in the Baltimore area and now lives in the great north woods of Baltimore County. She is Mom, Grandjoy, artist and teacher, and is involved in local theatre. Her previous short stories and poetry have been featured in small publications. This, her first novel, has been swimming around her brain for many years. It took a pandemic to give her time and quiet enough to pour the words onto the page. She is currently working on novels number two and three. One is a prequel to Beyond the Broken Window featuring the Madsen family. The other is titled “Rewind” a ‘what if’ story that begins in 2020, the year of Covid-19.
