About The Author

Bret Schlesinger was born in NYC in 1936. He attended public schools, graduated from Brandeis University and received his Masters Degree from NYU. He taught in the NYC Public School system at Washington Irving HS, A Phillip Randolph HS and City As School. He also worked at the Board of Education. He authored a book Understanding Education on his experiences. He served in the military and his record speaks for itself. He is currently happily married and retired.
