One of the most challenging things I'm asked to do is what I am doing now, writing a profile about myself. That seems like beyond ambitious and knowingly impossible. Who can objectively write a profile about themselves that is 90%+ accurate? Can you? Given that preamble, I'll suggest that the woman you see me with here is the love of my life, a pearl of great price, a divine gift from The Most High specifically wrought by His Divine hand. She is absolutely mine and for no other (save  our Father), always was, is, and will forever be.

I'm told to say something that gives a bit of insight about me. If you're wondering whether I've made mistakes, have things I wish I could do over or not do at all, yes and who doesn't? I'm a lawyer by trade, a sinner by birth, and a Christian (follower of Jesus Christ) by choice. My home is south Louisiana. I love life, making friends, explaining who Jesus is, not was, and explaining that knowing God is not a religion, it's a relationship. There is a difference in knowing God and knowing about Him. Anyone who has been through the kind of catharsis one experiences when he is confronted with the reality of the gospel, confesses, and repents knows that of which I speak.

Every man and woman has a call on his or her life, no exceptions. Most miss it and never really find out how to recognize it and engage. Jeremiah 20:9 capsulizes what often overwhelms me.

This lady on my arm, she's my treasure and we've been, by means of legal sanction, united in marriage for I'll say 50 years. Without the stroke of the makeup brush, slightest hint of the most alluring eau de parfum, the any addition of articles of fashion or wardrobe designed to enhance the female form, or employment of any sort of artifice (she would never even consider such) to embellish her persona, she commands all of my singular devotion and love.  That passion is the non-spiritual component that birthed the notion that I should pen a book. Once you read it, you'll know what it means When a Man Loves a (his) Woman.
