Deon McCarthy is a retired Master Sergeant and Combat Veteran with 30 years of service in the United States Army. He has deployed multiple times starting with Desert Shield, including tours to Afghanistan, Bosnia and Iraq. He has an Aviation background as a mechanic, crew chief and instructor on the AH-64 Apache helicopter. Deon is an accomplished leader, gathering experience from both good and bad examples of leadership. He has been supportive to not only Soldiers directly under his leadership; but to all Soldiers. He has also been stern when punishments were required, yet more than fair giving rewards and accolades. Deon wants to share his unique perspective on the fun, the difficult and the horrors of the military lifestyle.
