Steve has always been drawn to the great outdoors and need for self sufficiency and independence. While he was not raised off grid or in a rural area, he has always had the desire to live and raise his family in this environment. He moved to the pacific northwest, retiring from his previous life having owned and operated several businesses, and as a road warrior in the geospatial technology industry. He acquired a remote acreage in northern Idaho and built an off grid homestead where he has created a niche for himself to experience, promote and teach others on the many benefits of off grid living and utilizing alternative energy resources. Steve enjoys helping and teaching others and will continue to explore and develop new areas in which he can help others discover and be more self-sufficient and independent in their lives.
